Police elements of Tigbao Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Kumalarang Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested a farmer for the crime of rape during joint law enforcement against wanted person at Purok Tubigan, Brgy. Bolisong, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:00 AM of October 18, 2020. Arrested was Jurrie Magang Lumilis, 30 years old, male, single, farmer, of Purok 2, Barangay Tigbao, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur.
He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape through Sexual Assault under article 266par (2) in relation to RA 7610 docketed under Criminal Case No. 15116-2k20 issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge Of Ninth Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 22, Pagadian City dated August 14, 2020 with bail recommended amounting to ₱ 120, 000.00.
He was brought to Kumalarang MPS for documentation and subsequently brought at Tigbao MPS for custody and proper disposition. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
