Zamboanga City has recorded Zamboanga Peninsula’s 1st Covid-19 case after test results came in on the evening of March 24, 2020, conducted by the RITM.
Positive PUI, a 29-year old male from Brgy. Sinunuc, Zamboanga City arrived last Marxh 13, 2020 from Manila via PAL.
He manifested mild symptoms such as fever and chills on March 15 and was taken a swab test on March 16 which was sent to RITM on the next day.
Accordingly, patient is now stable and slowly recovering.
On the other hand, DOH-Zamboanga del Norte and the LGU plead to its residents to abide ECQ and stay home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Local politicians, private individuals and groups have started to extend their help to the fronliners and the most financially affected families
