Bacolod City – Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental will limit admission of patients after some of its employees tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
Diaz said seven of the TLJPH administrative personnel and some members of their families were isolated at the Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia after contracting the virus.
Earlier, Dr. Mary Ann Maestral, officer-in-charge of the TLJPH, sent a letter to Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson requesting for approval of its plan that the hospital will accept only “emergency surgical operations” until further notice, due to the increasing number of infected frontline staffers.
Diaz said Lacson already approved the request.
