Please be informed that at about 4:20 AM last October 1, 2021, personnel of Surigao Del Norte maritime police Station led by PLT. ROBERT M. SORILLA with HRMU 13 personnel onboard HSTW 37 skippered by PSSg. Johnil L. Lopian, jointly conducting seaborne patrol operation at the seawaters of Brgy. Talisay, Surigao City against all forms of illegality thereat in response to the report from undocumented agent. Chanced upon a Motor Banca without outrigger locally known as (BOTE) manned by four (4) male factors from Barangay Malinao, Tubajon, Province of Dinagat Island, loaded with numerous pieces of Timber Logs (Magkono) in different dimension without any pertinent documents from legal authorities, that resulted to their immediate arrest for violating of Sec 77 of PD 705 as amended by RA 7161.
Recovered from suspects possession and control are the following;
- One (1) unit green unmarked motor banca without outrigger locally known as BOTE powered by 4D30 Mitsubishi engine with defaced serial no. and with estimated value of ₱ 300,000.00
- Seventy-Three (73) pieces of timber logs (Magkono) with total volume of 4.85 cubic meter in different dimension with estimated value of ₱ 365,000.00
TOTAL: ₱ 665,000.00
Apprehended persons and recovered pieces of evidences were brought to SDN MARPSTA for documentation and proper disposition. Above mentioned case is being readied for filing before the Surigao City Prosecutors Office.
