Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Libertad, Butuan City – Police Regional Office 13 launched an exaggerated cleaning of police precincts, stations, and offices program dubbed as “Brigada Estasyon” in a short ceremony held early morning today, May 22.
In attendance were the PRO13 Command Group led by the Regional Director, POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR., members of the Regional Staff, National Support Units, and all camp-based personnel while those assigned with the Police Provincial Offices, Butuan City Police Office, Regional Mobile Force Companies, Provincial Mobile Force Companies, and all City/Municipal Police Stations joined virtually.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, armed with cleaning materials, the more than 7,000 men and women of PNP Caraga proceeded to respective offices and stations and started the exaggerated cleaning.
This is in line with the Intensified Cleanliness Policy (ICP) of the 26th Chief of the Philippine National Police, POLICE GENERAL GUILLERMO LORENZO T. ELEAZAR.
ICP is focused on ensuring the cleanliness of PNP precincts, stations, and offices; cleaning the ranks from scalawags through the Revitalized Internal Cleansing Program; and cleaning the community through intensified enforcement of peace and order focusing on street crimes, cybercrime, and health protocols during the pandemic.
“Cleaning our offices and surroundings is not new to us. With or without this “Brigada Estasyon” program, it is the duty of every police officer to keep his environment clean and organized,” RD CARAMAT, JR. said.
The region’s top cop reminded all personnel that aside from giving their best in the performance of duties, cleanliness and sanitation should become part of every Police Officer’s daily routine, especially that the threats posed by COVID-19 remain in place. (PMaj. Dorothy M. Tumulak)
