Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – Amidst the pandemic COVID-19, Police Regional Office 13 in leadership of Police Brigadier General Romeo M. Caramat Jr. celebrates Labor Day through the spirit of “BARANGAYanihan” by setting up community pantries and clean-up drive with 57 established activities region wide today, May 1.
The region’s top cop lauded PRO13 Provincial Police Offices and Regional Mobile Force Company together with local government offices, Bureau of Fire Protection, Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) members, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPATs) members and different private groups and individuals who join hands in helping struggling Filipinos in extending help and providing goods specially those who are affected in this pandemic.
Agusan del Norte PPO established five BARANGAYanihan activities, Agusan del Sur PPO with 6 activities, Surigao del Norte PPO with 18 established BARANGAYanihan activities, Surigao del Sur PPO having 17 activities, Dinagat Island PPO with two established BARANGAYanihan, Butuan City Police Office having six activities, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13 with three put up BARANGAYanihan.
BARANGAYanihan covered activities are mass feeding, tree planting, clean-up drive, coastal clean-up, Zumba exercises, giving of vitamins and dental consultations, supplying slippers and vegetables, and free circumcisions.
“Though we cannot defeat the unseen enemy which is COVID-19, but we can heal and recover soon through conquering difficulties caused by this pandemic by cooperation in helping hand in hand to those who are in need, let us continue to adhere to minimum public health standard and protocols” RD CARAMAT JR said.
