Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – Patrolman Nazar A. Libot, of Butuan City Police Station (BCPO) who was brutally killed by New People’s Army (NPA) terrorists, was given funeral mass by Police Regional Office 13 in Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City today, June 16.
PRO13 Director Police Brigadier General ROMEO M. CARAMAT JR. stated that the sacrifice made by Patrolman Libot while in service in the PNP for four years was commendable. Amid of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 he responded swiftly to his mission of keeping people safe in the vicinity of Barangay Antongalon, Butuan City. He was a loving partner and good father to his two young children and to his family.
The top cop assures the families and kin of the fallen cop will receive financial support, social and death benefits due to police officer who offered sacrifice in the line of duty. The PNP Caraga extends condolences to the bereaved family of Pat Nazar A. Libot.
His remains will be sent home in Barangay Gimaylan, Libertad, Misamis Oriental.
The bereaved family is yet to decide when and where Pat Libot will be laid to rest.
“We condemn the savage murder of our police officers, and we will exert all our effort and look in the bottom of this. As we continue to solicit the support of the community in order to arrest this heartless elements roaming around guiltless and be put in the hands of the law” RD CARAMAT JR. concluded.
