Joint operatives of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Zamboanga del Sur together with Pagadian City Police Station, and San Isidro Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Bombel, Barangay Monte Dujali, Municipality San Isidro, Davao del Norte at 4:50 p.m. of May 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Thomas Concillado Y Sorote, 56 years old, male, married, and a resident of Purok Bombel, Barangay Monte Dujali, San Isidro, Davao del Norte. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 14239-2K19, 14240-2K19 and 14241-2K19 issued by Hon. Analyn F Ramas-Constanilla, Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City with no bail recommended. The accused was temporarily detained at San Isidro MPS for booking and documentation and will be transported by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Zamboanga del Sur to Pagadian City for the return of warrant of arrest to the issuing court of origin.

Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 8 and Zamboanga City Police Office- Intel Branch together with personnel of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 9, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency 9, Zamboanga City Police Station 2, Talusan Municipal Police Station, Mabuhay Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Barangay Kasigpitan, Talusan Municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay at 10:30 a.m. of May 29, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Angga Happil a.k.a Lang-Lang, 35 years old, male, married of Barangay Muti, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder with Criminal Case No. 45753 issued by Presiding Judge Norma O. Usin-Usman of RTC9 Branch 34, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated October 2, 2020 with recommended bail bond of 200.000.00 pesos. Accused is Top 10 Most Wanted Person of Zamboanga City Police Station 2 and a member of Ajijul Group and a known contact of Abu Sayyaf Group. He is presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 8 prior turn over to the concerned court.
Explosives Paraphernalia Seized in Olutanga
Joint elements of 1st Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company together with Olutanga Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok 1, Barangay Pulo Mabao, Olutanga, Zamboanga Sibugay at 7:20 a.m. of May 29, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Buddy Asamuddin y Pawaki, 45 years old, married, carpenter and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Pulo Mabao, Olutanga, Zamboanga Sibugay. The operation was made by virtue of search warrant no. 272, for violation of R.A. issued by Hon. Anthony D T Isaw, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 24, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay on May 26, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were; fifty-three (53) sacks of Ammonium Nitrate, 4 blasting caps, 1 piece yellow detonating cord measuring 25 inches, and 1 piece red detonating cord measuring 26 inches. Arrested person and seized items were placed under the custody of Olutanga Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition.
₱344,760 Worth of Shabu Seized in Sangali
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted drug buy-bust at Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City at 10:50 p.m. of May 29, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Hussin Kahal y Abdani, 27 years old, male, married, elementary Level, and Jiesam Bahaya y Alfad, 30 years old, male, married, elementary level, both are residents of Barangay Sanggali, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were eight (8) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of 344,760.00 pesos weighing 50.7 grams and one (1) bill of 500.00 pesos as marked money. All recovered items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination while subjects are now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Barangay Binayan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur at 3:10 AM of May 30, 2021. Victim was identified as Jimboy Uba Dayday, 24 years old, male, married, construction worker, resident of Purok 2, Barangay Dipaya, Zamboanga del Sur. Investigation revealed that around 4:00 p.m. of May 29, 2021, the victim, together with his four neighbors went boar hunting at the mountainous areas of Barangay Binayan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur, allegedly they were waylaid by more or less three (3) unidentified persons wearing black sweat shirts and without apparent reason, shot the victim hitting the back portion on his body using undetermined caliber of firearms that caused his instantaneous death. The four (4) neighbors ran towards different direction to seek cover while the suspects fled heading north direction after the incident. While the four (4) neighbors were on their way home they saw the lifeless body of the victim.. Labangan Municipal Police Station is now conducting follow investigations relative for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
