₱544,000.00 Worth of Shabu Seized in Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Jail

Joint operating units of Zamboanga del Sur PDEA, Pagadian City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 9, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9, 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies of Zamboanga del Sur conducted follow up operation in relation to the buy-bust operation conducted last May 24, 2021 at Purok Spring, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City at about 9:30 p.m. of May 25, 2021. The operating units initiated search and seizure operation inside Provincial Jail, Purok Santan B, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City which resulted in the arrest of Danilo Bulat-og Martinito a.k.a. Panoy. Seized during the operation were 80 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as “Shabu” with market value of ₱ 544,000.00; one maroon/brown plastic box as container of suspected Shabu;  1.5 liter of empty sprite plastic box; one piece battery operated weighing scale; and five assorted cellular phones and chargers (black Bluetooth earphone; five (5) assorted cellular phones; one (1) black Samsung tablet; one (1) plastic scooper and blade; eight (8) assorted cellular phone sim cards; and two (2) memory card from. Confiscated evidence is now under the custody of PDEA-Zamboanga del Sur, while above named detainee is still detained at Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Jail, Purok Santan B, San Jose, Pagadian City. Appropriate charges for violation of RA 9165 “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) is now being prepared for filing in court.

₱1,00,750.00 Worth of Smuggled Cigarettes Seized in the High Seas of Little Sta. Cruz Island

Personnel of Marine Battalion Landing Team 11 conducted seaborne patrol at the high seas of Little Sta. Cruz Island, Zamboanga City at 4:37 a.m. of May 26, 2021. They were able to intercept a motorized wooden watercraft “Jungkong” loaded with Fifty (50) boxes of Canon brand cigarettes with estimated market value of ₱ 1,000,750.00 pesos.  The said “Jungkong” was boarded by Jabal Tingkahan y Salim, 27 years old, male, married and a resident of Maluso Basilan, Province, Aesibal Tingkahan y Salim, 37 years old, married of Maluso Basilan Province and  Isnad Laki y Suabin, 38 years old, male of Maluso, Basilan Province. They failed to present any legal documents. Confiscated items and arrested subjects are now under the custody of Marine Battalion Landing Team 11 prior turn over to Bureau of Customs.

One Dead in a Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident in Dumalinao

A motor vehicle traffic accident transpired at National Highway of Purok Opo, Barangay Sebucao, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 5:30 p.m. of May 25, 2021 involving a black motorcycle with no registration plate, driven by Jecky Besoro Barrientos, male, 20 years old, garbage collector, and a resident of Purok Makiangayon, Barangay Gubac, Pagadian City together with his back riders Beatriz Besoro Barrientos, female, 54 years old, self-employed, and a resident of Purok Makiangayon, Barangay Gubac, Pagadian City and Crystal Mae Lomusad Salang, 20 years old, self-employed, live-in partner of the driver, both residents of Purok Nandang, Barangay Nuburan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur; and one black Kawasaki Barako tricycle, bearing engine number BC175AELE2464, chassis no. BC175H-B15280, driven by Rodolfo Tanoy Enriquez, male, 27 years old, with live-in partner, and a resident of Purok Muslim Village, Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the black motorcycle was traversing from San Miguel bound to Pagadian City, while the Kawasaki Barako was traversing from Pagadian City bound to Guipos Municipality. While traversing, the driver of Kawasaki Barako lost control of the motorcycle and swerved onto the other lane and accidentally bumped the black motorcycle. As a result, the driver of black motorcycle to include the back riders sustained injuries on the different parts of their bodies and were brought to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for treatment. However, Beatriz Besoro Barrientos was declared dead by the attending physician, while the driver of Kawasaki Barako to include its motorcycle are now under the custody of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

CTG member Surrendered in San Miguel

PNP personnel of 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, together with San Miguel Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Intelligence Unit, and 53rd Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army facilitated the voluntary surrender of a CTG member in Dumalian, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:00 p.m. of May 25, 2021.  Further, one unit improvised homemade 12 gauge shotgun with two live ammunitions was also surrendered. He is now under the custody of 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company Headquarters, Poblacion, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur for custodial debriefing and community reintegration.

₱680,000.00 Worth of Shabu Nabbed from a Construction Worker in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Ayala

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Ruste drive, Barangay San Jose,  Cawa-Cawa, Zamboanga City at 7:10 p.m. of May 25, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jimmy Lulu y Sariul a.k.a. “Jim”, 35 years old, male, married, jobless, no educational attainment, construction worker, and a resident of Zone 7, Brgy Ayala, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were two (2) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 680,000.00 weighing 100 grams, two (2) brown paper bags, one (1) red/black sling bag, one (1) bill of ₱ 1,000.00 as marked money and sixty-five (65) pieces of ₱ 1,000.00 as boodle money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Stabbing Incident

A stabbing incident transpired at Purok 11, Pitogo, Barangay Sinunuc, Zamboanga City at 9:20 p.m. of May 25, 2021.  Victim was identified as Johnny Allian Abdulbarri, 33 years old, singel of Purok 11, Pitogo, Barangay Sinunuc, Zamboanga City while suspect was identified as Jappal Allian Abdulbarri, brother of the victim, 31 years old, separated and a resident of the same place. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, while the victim was lying on the floor, the suspect rushed towards him and without any apparent reason, stabbed the victim in his chest. Victim was rushed to Brent Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by the responding personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 8. Recovered from his position is one (1) kitchen knife.

Fish Vendor Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Mampang

PNP personnel of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Kapuk drive, Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City at about 8:00 p.m. of May 25, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jimmy Salani y Balani, 31 years old, male, married, fish vendor, elementary graduate and a resident of Kapuk Purok-7, Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were one (1) piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected to be Shabu (buy-bust), two (2) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected to be Shabu (possession) with total weight of 11 grams and with estimated street value of ₱ 74,800.00, two (2) pieces of genuine ₱ 500.00 marked money and one (1) piece green coin purse used as a container of the mentioned confiscated drugs. A case for Violation of R.A. 9165 was prepared for filling in court against the suspect.

Fire Incident

A fire incident transpired beside KFI Building, China Bank, Barangay Guiwan, Zamboanga City at 2:10 p.m. of May 25, 2021. Initial investigation disclosed that the fire started from the room of a concrete house owned by Richard Hernandez y Perez, 25 years old, male, single, public school teacher at Sta. Maria Elementary School, Barangay Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City that eventually spread to some portion of the house. Responding BFP personnel were able to put out fire at about 2:55 p.m. of same date. Furthermore, initial estimated value of damages amounted to ₱ 1,500,000.00 and no casualty has been reported in the incident. Cause of fire is still to be determined.

Vegetable Vendor Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Talon-talon

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Brgy Talon-talon, Zamboanga City at about 3:00 p.m. of May 25, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Lah Usman y Iboh, 53 years old, female, single, vegetable vendor, elementary level, resident of Barangay Sta. Barbara, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were three (3) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of is ₱ 343,400.00 weighing 50.5 grams and one (1) bill of ₱ 500.00 as marked money. Subject person is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Limpapa

Police operative of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Sitio Lingkod Batang, barangay Limpapa, Zamboanga City at 10:30 p.m. of May 25, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Benito Manglang y Gomotod, 49 years old, male, single, and a resident of Malayal, Sibuco Zamboanga del Norte. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Attempted Murder under Criminal Case No. I-6418 dated November 29, 2018 issued by Hon. Anthony D.T. Isaw, Presiding Judge, RTC9, Branch 24, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with bail bond recommended of ₱ 120,000.00 pesos.  He is presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 prior turn over to the concerned court.

Murder Suspects Arrested in Titay

PNP personnel of San Pablo Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with Regional Intelligence Division 9; Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Intelligence Unit, Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company; and Titay Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Mahayag, Pulidan, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay at 1:25 p.m. of May 25, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Julieto Vicoy Alquiza, 48 years old, male, with live-in partner farmer; Daniel Angcot Yares, 27 years old, single, rubber tapper; and  Ronebert Angcot Yares, 24 years old, single, rubber tapper, all are residents of Purok Villarte, Kapamanok, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur. They were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder (2 counts), docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 15594-2021 and 15595-2021 dated May 18, 2021 issued by Hon. Dinnes Pangandoyon Vicoy, Pairing Judge, RTC, Branch 21, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond. Subject persons are now under the custody of San Pablo MPS while waiting for commitment order from the court.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Titay

joint elements of Regional Intelligence Division 9 together with Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office – Intel Branch, Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company, Titay Municipal Police Station (MPS) and San Pablo Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Mahayag, Barangay Pulidan, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay at 10:45 a.m. of May 25, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jolieto Viosada Alquiza, 48 years old, male; Daniel Angcot Yares, 27 years old, single rubber tapper and Ronebert Angcot Yares, 24 years old, single, rubber tapper, all are residents of Purok Villarte, Barangay Kapamanok, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder (RPC art. 248) docketed under Criminal Case Nos. i5594-2021 and i5595-2021, issued by Hon. Dennis Pangandoyon Vicoy, Pairing Judge RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur, issued on May 18, 2021 with no bail recommended. They were brought to Titay MPS for proper disposition and documentation prior to turn-over to San Pablo MPS.
