₱2,000, 000.00 Worth of Shabu Seized from Drug Suspects in Zamboanga City

A total of ₱ 2,000,000.00 worth of Shabu was seized from 2 drug suspects in Zamboanga City in separate drug buy-bust operations conducted by police stations under Zamboanga City Police Office on February 28, 2021.

Almutlah Maharan y Angkaya, 39 years old, male, married, elementary undergraduate, unemployed, a resident of Brgy. Mariki, Zamboanga City was arrested by police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 in a a drug buy-bust operation at Tumaga-Putik Road, Brgy. Tumaga, Zamboanga City at 5:35 PM of February 28, 2021. Recovered from his possession were one (1) coin purse, Five (5) large heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 1,700,000.00 weighing 250 grams, one (1) bill of ₱ 1,000.00 genuine money and 499 bills of ₱ 1,000.00 as boodle money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Ben Saidul Muksan, 25 years old, male, married, resident of Masambo Drive, Block 1, Baliwasan Grande, Zamboanga City was arrested by police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 in a law enforcement operation at Masambo Drive, Block 1, Baliwasan Grande, Zamboanga City at 1:30 AM of March 1, 2021. The search was conducted by virtue of Search Warrant No. 08-2021 for Violation of R.A. 9165 issued by Hon. Judge Eric D. Elumba, Presiding Judge, 15th Judicial Region, 9th RTC, Zamboanga City dated February 22, 2021. Confiscated from his possession were one (1) wallet and twenty one (21) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 300,000.00 weighing 44.12 grams. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination while the suspect is presently under the custody of the said police station for proper disposition.

Top 1 Illegal Drug Personality of Zamboanga City Police Station 7, Arrested

 Intel operatives of 1st Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company together with personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 (ZCPS7) and Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Fernandez Drive, Brgy. Pasonanca, Zamboanga City at 11:45 AM of February 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Kenneth Lacastesantos y Fernandez, 24 years old, male, single, resident of Lacasteville, Brgy. Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest under Criminal Case No. 45114 for Violation of Sec. 5 Art. 11 of RA 9165 issued by Shene C. Cañete, Regional Trial Judge of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 35, Zamboanga City dated August 03, 2020 with no bail recommended. He is now under the custody of ZCPS7 prior to turn over to court concerned.

One dead in a Vehicular Accident in Tumaga

A vehicular accident transpired at Bypass Road, fronting Alham Store, Brgy. Tumaga, Zamboanga City at 8:10 PM of February 28, 2021. Initial investigation revealed that prior tp the incident, a Blue Honda Wave with Temp. Plate no. 0901-011403 driven by Dante Mag-usara y Macalinsang, 33 years old, male, single, resident of Presa Mayor, Brgy. Tumaga, Zamboanga City, was heading towards Brgy. Pasonanca while a Yellow/White Mio 125 with Temp. Plate No. 0901-351922 driven by Alfie James Handugan y Sayamba, 26 years old, male, single, resident of Salukot, Brgy. Pasonanca, Zamboanga City, was heading towards Brgy. Tumaga when it encroached on the opposite lane where the Honda Wave was traveling. As a result, both vehicles had a head-on collision and sustained serious physical injuries. Both drivers were immediately rushed to West Metro Medical Center but the driver of Mio 125 was declared Dead on arrival while the other driver is presently in critical condition.

Hacking Incident

A hacking incident transpired at Brgy. Galingon, Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte at 9:50 AM of February 28, 2021,The victim was identified as Bonifacio Hidoquio Encarnacion, 55 years old, married, farmer and the suspect was identified as Ronie Olis Dagodog,29 years old, single, both are residents of the said place. Initial investigation disclosed that the suspect due to personal grudge hacked the victim with the use of scythe. The victim sustained hacked wounds in the back portion of his head and left hand. The victim was already evacuated by the MDRRMC to Liloy District Hospital for treatment. The suspect is now under the custody of Tampilisan Municipal Police Station for appropriate filing of case.
