Dead Fetus Found in Drainage in a Restaurant in Zone III
A dead fetus was found at Food Paradise Main, Mayor Climaco Ave., Barangay Zone III, Zamboanga City at 1:50 PM of June 26, 2021. Investigation disclosed that Adonis Dela Peña y Manlinguez, 26 years old, male, employee of Food Paradise Main, Mayor Climaco Ave., Barangay Zone III, Zamboanga City was cleaning the dishwashing area to unclog the drainage. Suddenly, he saw a greasy object in the drainage and decided to take it off. While trying to take it off, he was surprised that it was the head of a dead fetus. He immediately used their steel net to catch the fetus. It was known that the drainage is connected to the City’s drainage tunnel. Investigation is still on going as to where the fetus came from. The fetus was placed into a transparent cellophane and was brought to Villa Funeral Homes.
A Member of the Philippine Army Dead in Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident in Ipil
A vehicular accident transpired at Purok Germilina, Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 2:00 AM of June 27, 2021 involving a KM450 military vehicle driven by PFC Arvin Zolas, male, 28 years old, a resident of San Jose, Camarines Sur, with passengers Cpl. Ian Cris Contomayor, male, legal age, married, a resident of Cotabato City and PFC Jomary D Limos, male, 28 years old, a resident of Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur, all were assigned at second logistic support group/ASCOM base at Port Bonifacio, Taguig City. Investigation revealed that prior to the incident, the vehicle was travelling along the national highway from Zamboanga City bound to Barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, however, upon reaching the place of incident (fronting Ipil Budgetwise), the rear left tire accidentally exploded resulting in the loss of control of the vehicle, causing it to directly ram at the elevated pavement of the road. As a result, Cpl. Ian Cris C. Cantomayor (passenger) was thrown at the center lane of the highway and sustained serious injuries, while both the driver and PFC Jomary D. Limos incurred minor injuries and were all brought to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital by responding PNP personnel of Ipil Municipal Police Station for immediate medical treatment. Unfortunately, Cpl. Ian Cris C. Cantomayor was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Al Rashid Sauti, attending physician due to severe head injury. The vehicle involved was turned-over to its concerned unit for safekeeping.
One CTG Member Surrendered in Ipil
personnel of 2nd Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company (lead unit) conducted intel-driven Major Internal Security Operations with the support of Regional Intelligence Unit 9 (initiating unit), and Ipil Municipal Police Station at Barangay Tiayon, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 5:30 PM of June 2, 2021. The operation resulted in the voluntary surrender of a member of Regional Urban Committee (RUC), Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee (WMRPC) Zamboanga Sibugay Chapter at Barangay Tiayon, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. This effort is another result of relentless intelligence campaign of 2nd Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company against CTGs in line with E.O. 70 (End Local Communist Armed Conflict). The surrenderee is now under the custody of Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Intelligence Unit for a joint tactical interview.
Hacking Incident
A hacking incident transpired at Purok Sili, Kahayagan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at 10:30 AM of June 26, 2021. Victim was identified as Karen Joy Gaisao Sumalpong, 16 years old, female, single, student, and a resident of Purok Sili, Kahayagan, Pagadian City while suspect was identified as Junard Eslao Sumalpong (uncle of the victim), 26 years old, male, single, farmer, Filipino and resident of Purok Santan, Bulawan, Pagadian City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was inside their residence doing some school works (class modules), when the suspect arrived, he asked for food, but allegedly, the victim was hacked without hesitation hitting her head (left portion). Right after the incident, the suspect immediately fled heading towards his residence. Thereat, the victim’s family asked for the assistance from the Barangay. Subsequently, PNP personnel assigned at COMPAC Danlugan responded, this resulted in the arrest of the suspect. Recovered form the suspect was one (1) Bolo. The victim was immediately rushed at Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center (ZDSMC) for treatment.
Hacking Incident
A hacking incident transpired at Purok 5, of Barangay Poblacion, Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 3:30 PM of June 26, 2021. Victim was identified as a certain “Brother”, mentally deranged, male, single, of legal age, a resident of the said place while suspect was identified as Alfredo Humaw-As Bariga, 61 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 3 Katipunan Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the suspect and the victim were having a drinking session when a heated argument ensued. The victim accordingly threatened the suspect saying “bisag ikaw, ako kang ihawun.!”, which translates as “I will kill even you” that ultimately caused the suspect to grab his bolo (Bakoko) and hacked the victim several times causing multiple hack wounds leading to the victim’s untimely death. The suspect is now under the custody of Payao Municipal Police Station while the victim was declared dead on arrival by the Local Municipal Health Office and was brought to the nearest funeral home.
