Top 1 Most Wanted Person of Kumalarang, Arrested

PNP personnel of Kumalarang Municipal Police Station, together with Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Intelligence Unit; 902nd Maneuver Company, Pagadian City Police Station, 1st and 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company; 53rd Infantry Battalion conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Santan B, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at 3:10 PM of June 18, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Georgefe Laurito Senit, male, 38 years old, married, driver, and a resident of Purok Madasigon, Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur. The accused was arrested by virtue of arrest warrants for the crime of Special Protection of Children against Child abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act ( Anti-Child Abuse Law); Lascivious Conduct Under Sec. 5 (B) of RA 7610  Rape (RPC art 266-A) (5 Counts) docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 15214-2K20, 15215-2K20, 15216-2K20, 15217-2K20, AND 15218-2K20  dated May 20, 2021 issued by Hon. Jaime B Caberte, Presiding Judge of Ninth Judicial Region, Regional Trial court, Branch 22, Pagadian City dated May 20, 2021 with recommended bailbond amounting to P240,000.00 for 2 counts of Special Protection of Children against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. (Anti-Child Abuse Law) (Lascivious Conduct under Section 5 (B) of RA 7610; and not bailable for 3 counts of Rape (RPC ART 266-A). He is now temporarily detained at Kumalarang Municipal Police Station while waiting for commitment order from the court.

One Dead in a Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident in Ipil

A vehicular accident transpired along National Highway of Purok Bangkal, Barangay Taway, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 6:55 PM of June 18, 2021 involving a white Suzuki pick-up, without plate number, owned by SB rental corporation and driven by Eduardo Tabamo Alcos Jr, with professional driver’s license while the pedestrian was identified as Jhongelban Moñera Apatan, male, 18 years old, single, and a resident of the said place. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, said vehicle was travelling along the National Highway from Titay bound to Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, upon reaching the place of incident, said driver lost control of his vehicle and fell into a deep area about 30 feet away from the road, the vehicle hit/bumped the victim who was walking at the small alley. The victim sustained serious physical injury while the driver of vehicle sustained multiple injuries and were immediately brought to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital for medical attention, at about 7:20 p.m. of same date, the victim was pronounced dead by attending physician Austin Lorenz Ritchie A. Alvarez due to severe head injury. The driver of vehicle and the vehicle involved are now under the custody of Ipil Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

A shooting incident transpired at Pajares Avenue, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at 10:00 AM of June 18, 2021. Victim was identified as Khareem Ricablanca Abas, 29 years old, male, single, OFW, and a resident of Purok Madasigon, Barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City. He was shot by unidentified suspect. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was onboard his blue Raider, with registration plate 092001, upon reaching the above mentioned place of incident, unidentified suspect suddenly shot him several times hitting his stomach, right arm (bicep area), and back portion of his body. The victim was brought to Hofileña Hospital, Pagadian City and still undergoing medical treatment. Evidence recovered from the crime scene were four fired cartridge casing of caliber .45 pistol. Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station is still conducting thorough investigation and follow-up operation to identify, locate, and arrest the fleeing suspect.

Robbery Incident

A robbery incident transpired at Enerio Street, Santiago, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at 9:10 AM of June 18, 2021. Victim was identified as Carl Benhel Salibay Lanzado, 25 years old, male, sales representative of Honda Des of Alano street, and a resident of Purok Bayabas, Don Jose, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur. He was robbed by two unidentified suspects onboard a red Raider motorcycle, both suspects were wearing brown hooded jacket, the driver was wearing baseball cap, eye glasses, and surgical facemask. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was on his motorcycle parked at the sidewalk near their store situated at the above mentioned place and was about to deposit the sales of their store at Metrobank Rizal Avenue Branch more or less one hundred fifty (150) meters away, the back rider pointed a caliber .45 pistol on the victim and forcibly carted away the cash money amounting to ₱ 575,386.00 and placed it inside the motorcycle compartment. The suspects fled towards Lumbia, Pagadian City onboard their getaway motorcycle. Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted dragnet operation to identify, locate, and arrest the fleeing suspects.

Stabbing Incident

A stabbing incident transpired at Purok Diwalwal, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at 12:20 AM of June 19, 2021. Victim was identified as Rosalito Revilla Latayada a.k.a. “Lito”, 26 years old, male, single, unemployed, and a resident of Purok Malunggay, Banale, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. He was stabbed by unidentified male suspect. Investigation disclosed that at about 10:00 PM of June 18, 2021, the victim together with his eight male companions were having a drinking session at the store owned by one of his friends located at the said place. A group of male and female persons onboard two motorcycles locally known as “Payong-Payong” arrived at pass midnight and allegedly caused disturbance. The victim scolded them, this triggered the unidentified male suspect to stab the victim once hitting his right upper chest. Immediately thereafter, a commotion and fistfight ensued between the groups wherein a minor was accidentally hit by a piece of metal while pacifying them and incurred slight injury. The suspect along with other companions immediately fled after the incident. Victim was brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for treatment.  PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station are still conducting thorough investigation and follow-up operation to identify, locate and arrest the suspect. The motive of the incident is believed to be heated argument/ misunderstanding.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in ipil

Joint elements of Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Intelligence Unit (led unit) together with PDEA, Ipil Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Anti-Kidnapping Group 9 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok Ipil-Ipil, Barangay Magdaup (Nesoricom Subdivision), Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 1:30 PM of June 18, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Aljier Ulis Sarmiento, 32 years old, male, single, high school level, unemployed, and a resident of the said place. Recovered and confiscated from his possession were three (3) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected Shabu with an estimated weight of 15 grams and estimated value of ₱ 102,000.00 (buy-bust), 3 DXN Lingzhi instant coffee sachets and forty five (45) pieces of one thousand peso bills (boodle money) topped with one (1) genuine five hundred peso bill. Arrested person was brought to Ipil Municipal Police Station while confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination. A case for violation of R.A. 9165 is being prepared against the suspect.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Zambowood

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Zone 9C, Barangay Zambowood, Zamboanga City at 6:30 PM of June 18, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Karim Bannister y Antigo a.k.a. “Karim “, 21 years old, male, single, jobless, elementary level and resident of Barangay Zambowood, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were five (5) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 6,800.00 weighing 1 gram and three (3) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation for filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Laborer Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Ayala

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Calle San Pedro, Zone 1, Barangay Ayala, Zamboanga City at 8:30 PM of June 18, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Ferdinand Javier y Layague a.k.a. “Ferdinand”, 26 years old, male, single, high school level, laborer, presently residing at Jordan Fishing Corporation  Compound,  Zone 1, Brgy Ayala, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were five (5) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 2,000.00 weighing 0.29 gram, One (1) coin purse and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. He is now under the custody of ZCPS4 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Dipolog

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Dipolog City Police Station conducted joint drug buy-bust operation at 9:15 PM of June 18, 2021 at Brgy Sinaman, Dipolog City. The operation resulted in the arrest of John Lloyd C. Lumanta, male, 32 years old, single and a resident of Barangay Punta, Dipolog City. Confiscated during operation were 4 pieces medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride (Shabu); one (1) piece five hundred peso (₱ 500.00) bill served as buy bust money; one (1) piece brown paper as container of suspected Shabu; one (1) disposable blue lighter; one (1) piece black face mask; and one (1) unit red and black Honda Beat motorcycle. Also declared in the presence of the witnesses and arrested suspect is one (1) medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride (Shabu) bought by the poseur buyer from the arrested suspect as buy-bust evidence. Estimated grams of confiscated substance is 7 grams with an estimated street value of ₱ 47,600.00. He is now under the custody of said station for proper disposition.
