Shooting Incident
Shooting incident transpired at Avin Drive, Brgy. Sangali, Zamboanga City at about 7:30 PM of February 20, 2021. The victim was identified as Ruben Ribellesa, 36 years old, male, married, and a resident of Cambodia, Brgy. Sangali, Zamboanga City. He was already brought by the Barangay Tanods of Barangay Bolong to Mindanao Central Sanitarium Hospital on board L300 vehicle for medical treatment. Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was having a drinking spree together with his two companions identified as a certain Cris and Danilo Asani at Itang Store when suddenly two male persons identified as Mhibar Haranain Taman, male, legal age; and Alnishar Haranain Taman, male, legal age, both resident of Sea Side, Brgy. Sangali, Zamboanga City entered the said store and without any provocation, one Mhibar Taman shot the victim with an unknown Cal. of firearm and fled towards the direction of sea Side, Brgy. Sangali, Zamboanga City. The victim sustained a gunshot wound on the right portion of his stomach. Motive of the incident is believed to be personal grudge. Recovered from the scene was one (1) slug of an unknown cal. of firearm. PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the fleeing suspects.
Robbery Holdup Incident
Robbery holdup incident took place at Brgy. Baluno, Isabela City, Basilan at about 5:00 PM of February 20, 2021. The victims were identified as Miss Geneva Rivero Calixto, 24 years old, Richelle Jumawan Rivero, 27 years old, single; Lea Amor Rivero Santos,19 years old, single; and Rica Mary Kaing Climaco 18 years old, single, all resident of Brgy. Binuangan, Isabela City. Investigation disclosed that the victims were traversing the road of Brgy. Baluno, Isabela City on board their motorcycle going to Hami Beach, Isabela City, when an unidentified person, who was also onboard Honda XRM mc, color black, armed with bolo, blocked their path and suddenly declared hold-up and forcibly took their personal belongings. Immediately, PNP personnel of Isabela City Police Station proceeded to the place of incident and conducted hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect. The things taken from Geneva Calixto was one sling bag that contains the following items to with one-unit Samsung keypad cellular phone worth ₱ 1,000, LTO non-professional license card, SSS id, BDO ATM card and a cash worth ₱ 250.00. things taken from Richelle was one sling bag that contains the following items to with one-unit a21s Samsung cellular phone worth ₱ 11,990.00, one-unit Nokia cellular phone worth ₱ 1,500.00, UMID card, PAG-IBIG ID, DBP ATM card, non-professional driver license card, City Government ID, and a cash worth ₱ 500.00. things taken from Lea Amor was one-unit Samsung s7 edge worth ₱ 24,000.00 and a cash worth ₱ 400.00 and things taken from Rica Mary was one-unit vivo y55 worth ₱ 8,990.00. Subsequently said suspect managed to escape going to the highway of Brgy. Baluno, Isabela City. The total amount of the stolen items from the victims is amounting to ₱ 48,630.00.
High Value Individual Drug Suspect Arrested in Zamboanga City
Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 led by PMAJ. Albert R. Alfaro, conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok Green Valley, Brgy. Manicahan, Zamboanga City at about 2:20 PM of February 20, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Robert Toribio Araneta, 42 years old, male, married, jobless, high school graduate and a resident of Purok Green Valley, Brgy. Manicahan, Zamboanga City, Zamboanga City Police Station 3 Top-9 di watch listed, HVI. Confiscated items during the operation were seven sachets of suspected shabu with estimated ddb value of ₱ 2,000.00 weighing 0.29 gram, and two pieces of ₱ 100.00 bills as marked money. Confiscated items will be brought to Crime Lab Office for laboratory examination, while arrested suspect is now under the temporary custody of said police station for proper disposition.
2 Drug Suspects Busted in Zamboanga City Drug Sting Operation
Operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 led by PMAJ. Albin T. Cabayacruz, conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 5, Brgy. Canelar, Zamboanga City at about 10:30 PM of February 20, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jose Leo Trono Sarangaya, (newly identified drug suspect), 37 years old, male, married, college graduate, tricycle driver, and a resident of Purok 5, Brgy. Canelar, Zamboanga City; and Susan Parajado Diatas a.k.a “Neneng”, (database listed), 54 years old, female, married, elementary graduate, jobless, and a resident of Caraño Drive, Brgy. Camino Nuevo, Zamboanga City. Confiscated items during the operation were five sachets of suspected shabu with estimated DDB value of ₱ 5,000.00 weighing 0.73-gram, one violet coin purse and two pieces of ₱ 100.00 bills as marked money. Confiscated items will be brought to Crime Lab Office for laboratory examination, while arrested suspects are now under the temporary custody of said police station for proper disposition.
