Shooting Incident
Shooting incident occurred at Port area of Sitio Timboligi, Brgy. Josefina, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur at about 4:30 PM of February 12, 2021. Â Investigation disclosed that the person of Billy Mat Tugal, Barangay Chairman of Brgy. Josefina, Margosatubig while they were having beach bonding together with Barangay Officials together with their families at the above-mentioned place were fired upon several times with the use of short firearm of unknown caliber by the alleged suspect identified as Jomar Taiting onboard his motorized boat color red with a distance of more or less fifty meters 50 meters away from their position. The victims were not hit. After the incident, the suspect fled towards the direction of Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay. PNP personnel of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station immediately responded to the area and conducted hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the fleeing suspect.
Stabbing Incident
Stabbing Incident transpired at Brgy. Cocob, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 9:45 AM of February 12, 2021. The victim was identified as Kosayin Basa Mucca, 38 years old, male, a Brgy. councilor of Brgy. Salvacion, Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was sleeping in the house of Emie Concepcion Dumpalac, 42 years old, female, married and a resident of Brgy. Cocob, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte, when an unidentified male person surfaced and stabbed the victim hitting him on the chest. Suspect fled immediately after the incident while the victim was immediately brought to Liloy Integrated Hospital for medication. PNP personnel of Gutalac Municipal Police Station are still conducting follow-up investigation for the arrest of the suspect.
Retired GSIS Regional Director Died in Road Crash Accident
Road crash accident transpired at MCLL Highway, Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City at about 7:30 AM of February 12, 2021. The victim was identified as Naomi Ibara Diaz, 67 years old, female, married, retired GSIS Regional Director, resident of Zone 1, Brgy Culianan, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that the victim was crossing the said highway when accidentally bumped by a Mitsubishi Canter Truck with plate no. KAH6997 and driven by John Miguel Leonor Daanton, 31 years old, male, single, native of Matina Balusong, Davao City. Victim sustained head injury and was rushed to Zamboanga Peninsula Hospital. However, at about 8:30 AM of even date, said victim died while undergoing medical treatment. Subject driver and vehicle is presently under the Zamboanga City Police Station 4 custody for proper disposition.
Teen Arrested in Law Enforcement Operation in Mahayag
Joint team 1st SRB, FSRR, Phil Army together with 53rd IB, Phil Army; Mahayag Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PCPT. Renante B. Benitez; and Dumingag Municipal Police Station led by PMAJ. Mark Jerome P. Nebria, conducted joint law enforcement operation against possible CTGs member at Purok 3, Barangay Kaangayan, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:30 PM of February 12, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Jenar Donsalo Ayas, aka “Dodong Bulldog” 18 years old, male, single, and a resident of Purok 2, Baranggay Saad, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur and confiscated from his possession were one (1) unit caliber .38 revolver bearing serial no. 616581 with six (6) live ammunitions. The subject person failed to present legal documents authorizing him to carry such firearm and now temporarily detained at Mahayag MPS while appropriate charges is now being prepared for filing in court.
Farmer Arrested in Kalawit for Rape Charges
Police personnel of Kalawit Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PLT. Angelito Montina Cadavedo conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person (Top 2 Municipal level) at Sitio Gumutoc, Palaian, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:20 PM of February 12, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Julie Arambola Ayosep, 69 years old, farmer and a resident of Sitio Gumutoc, Brgy. Palalian, Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape docketed under Criminal Case # L-004094 issued by Hon Anthony D. Isaw, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 28, 9th Judicial Region, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte dated January 15, 2021 with no bail recommended for his temporary liberty. The arrested accused was brought to Kalawit MPS prior commitment to court.
6 Drug Suspects Arrested, ₱66,000.00 Shabu Seized in Zamboanga City
Over ₱ 66,000.00 worth of suspected shabu seized from six (6) drug suspects, mostly newly identified were arrested by drugs enforcement operatives of the different police units of Zamboanga City Police Office in a separate anti-illegal drugs operation in Zamboanga City on February 12, 2021.
Doval Hanni Buenavista, 50 years old, male, married, elementary level, jobless and Altamal Lakibul Labbay, 37 years old, male, married, elementary level, construction worker were arrested by Zamboanga City Police Station 11-Central in a drug buy-bust operation at Brgy Lower Calarian, Zamboanga City at about 7:30 PM of February 12, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were Sixteen (16) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB market value of ₱ 30,000.00 weighing more or less 4.412 grams and ₱ 200.00 as marked money. Both suspects were now under the temporary custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 -Central for proper disposition.
Pio Felicino Pastorfide, 29 years old, male, single, construction worker was arrested by operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 led by PMAJ. Ramon I Bautista Jr. in a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City at about 8:00 PM of February 12, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were Five (5) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB market value of ₱ 4,490.00 weighing more or less 0.66 gram and ₱ 500.00 as marked money. He is now under the temporary custody of said police station for proper disposition
Ibasis Daga Sadalani a.k.a “Basih”, 43 years old, male, married, high school level, jobless and Rosalie Asi Sadalani, 43 years old, female, married were arrested by operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 11-Central in a drug buy-bust operation at Zone 5, Barangay Tulungatung, Zamboanga City at about 10:00 PM of February 12, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were Nine (9) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB market value of ₱ 20,000.00, weighing more or less 2.94 grams and ₱ 500.00 as marked money. Both suspects were now under the temporary custody of said police station for proper disposition.
Robert Tanpua y Manuel, 34 years old, married was arrested by operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 led by PMAJ Julius B. Dao-An in a drug buy-bust operation at Falcatan, Barangay Lunzuran, Zamboanga City at about 8:10 PM of February 12, 2021. Recovered from his possession were One (1) black coin purse, Seven (7) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of ₱ 3,000.00 weighing 0.44 gram and Two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court.
Nurjane Ventura y Camaño, 24 years old, female, single by operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 led by PMAJ Sonny Boy P Perez in a drug buy-bust operation at Zone 6, Barangay Ayala, Zamboanga City at about 8:00 PM of February 12, 2021. Recovered from her possession were Six (6) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of ₱ 8,000.00 weighing 1.18 gram and Two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court.
