Shooting Incident
Shooting incident occurred at Brgy. Sirawai Proper, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 12:30 AM of February 11, 2021, wherein victim identified as Jomar Laki Samsoni, 35 years old, male, married, single and a resident of Pisa Itum, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte was shot by unidentified suspect. Immediately, PNP personnel of Sirawai Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with the rural health unit personnel proceeded to the area to verify the veracity of the report. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim prior to the incident had a dispute with his father-in-law. After the conversation the victim heard a gun burst and found out he sustained three gunshot wounds and was brought to Siocon District Hospital for medical treatment. Suspect was wearing a bonnet immediately ran towards Brgy. Doña Cecilia, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte. Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shell of caliber .45 pistol. PNP personnel of Sirawai MPS together with 905th RMFB9 and 42nd IB, PA are still conducting follow-up operation for the arrest of the fleeing suspect.

Shooting incident transpired at Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Isabela City at about 5:15 PM of February 11, 2021. The victim was identified as Ediberto Rom Gelizon, 57 years old, male, married and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. La Piedad, Isabela City. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was on board his Yamaha motorcycle, bearing plate number 9405 JP when unidentified suspect/s shot the victim twice on his head with the use of caliber .45 pistol that resulted in his instantaneous death. SOCO personnel of Basilan conducted crime scene processing and recovered two pieces of empty shells of caliber .45 pistol and one-unit caliber .45 pistol armscor, bearing serial no. 1262481 owned by the victim. Motive of the incident is still undetermined. PNP personnel of Isabela City Police Station conducted further investigation to identity, locate and arrest the fleeing suspects.
Man Arrested in Zamboanga City for Frustrated Murder
Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted Law Enforcement Operation against wanted person at Barangay Talon-talon, Zamboanga City at 11:00 PM of February 11, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Wadud Amping Y Ilani, 25 yars old, male, single and a resident of Salam Drive, Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for “Frustrated Murder” with Criminal Case No. 46824 issued and signed by Presiding Judge Hon. Shene C. Cañete, Branch 35, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated January 20, 2021 with bail bond recommended amounting to ₱ 200, 000.00 for his temporary liberty. He is presently under the custody of said police station prior turn over to court concerned.
Top-7 City Level Most Wanted Person in Iligan City, Captured in Ramon Magsaysay
Police personnel of PNP-Anti-Kidnapping Group, Regional Intelligence Unit 10, Ramon Mgsaysay Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office – Intel Unit conducted joint law enforcement operation against wanted person at Purok 11, Brgy. Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 AM of February 11, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Fennel John Alivio Chavez, (Top-7 City Level most wanted person in Iligan City), 42 years old, male, married, farmer, and a resident of Purok 11, Brgy. Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of alias warrant of arrest for the crime of murder, docketed under Criminal Case No. 06-10634, issued by Hon. Judge Valerio M. Salazar, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 06, Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte, dated July 30, 2004 with no recommended bail bond. Confiscated from his possession and control during the arrest were one-unit caliber .45 pistol bearing serial no. 928174; four magazines loaded with sixteen ammunitions of caliber .45; one-unit converted caliber .22 air riffle; one-unit a7 Samsung cellular phone; one-unit a9 Samsung cellular phone; assorted id’s; and one-piece power bank. Further, the accused murdered his own lesbian cousin sometime on December 2003 in Tipanoy, Iligan City. He was a gun for hire and a hardcore hit man utilized by some politicians in Iligan and Ozamis City (during Parojinog regime) and Zamboanga City. Subject person was brought to Ramon Magsaysay MPS for documentation and to be turned over to the PNP personnel of Iligan City Intelligence Team and proper disposition.
Arsonist Arrested in San Miguel Law Enforcement Operation
Police personnel of San Miguel Municipal Police Station (MPS), 2ND Provincial Mobile Force Company, Tambulig Municipal Police Station and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Misamis Occidental PPO conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Purok Meliton, Brgy. Poblacion, San Miguel Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:00 PM of February 11, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Mario Flores Hibaya, 30 years old, male, married, and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Dumalian San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case No. 1293, dated October 29, 2013, issued by Hon. Silvestre O. Opejana Jr., Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 14, Oroquita City, Misamis Occidental and another warrant of arrest for the Crime Of Destructive Arson, docketed under Criminal Case No. 2013-10-2639, dated December 26, 2013, issued by Hon. Jaime B. Cabente, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 23 Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur with no recommended bail bond. He is now under the temporary custody of San Miguel MPS for booking.
RA 10591 Violator Arrested in Sindangan
Police personnel of Sindangan Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PLTCOL. Ibrahim H. Jambiran conducted law enforcement operation by implementation of Search Warrant number 01-2021 for violation of RA 10591 at Brgy. Disud, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 7:40 PM of February 11, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Roderick Bicoy Santiago, 45 years old, male, married, unemployed and a resident of aforementioned place. Confiscated items from his possession and control were one-unit of caliber .45 pistol colt MK IV series 80, bearing serial no. 45566, inserted with one magazine loaded with 13 ammunitions; one hand grenade; eight sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of shabu is 0.20 grams and ddb value of ₱ 1,360.00; and one black sling bag. Arrested person is now under the custody of Sindangan MPS for filing of appropriate charges.
