Personnel of DENR Detachment in Margosatubig, Harassed by Group of Armed Men
The DENR Detachment of Purok Paradise, Barangay Talanusa, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur was allegedly harassed by armed men at 10:36 PM of April 4, 2021. Investigation disclosed that while the CAFGU members were rendering their tour of duty, they heard series of gunshots and a loud explosion 15 meters away from the back of their detachment. After which, the CAFGU personnel retaliated towards the suspects prompting the suspects to escape on board their motorized boat towards Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay. Florencio Sinena Labuan, and Franklin Perida Labita chainsaw operators, were wounded and were brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital. Recovered from the crime scene were the following: one (1) Carbine with SN 1745205 with one (1) magazine containing five (5) cal. 5.56mm ammunition; one (1) 40 mm cartridge case; two (2) bottles of ANFO with nail enhancers. Motive of the incident is believed to be a grudge between the CAFGU Personnel and Jomar Taiting Group.
Top 6 Most Wanted Person of Titay, Arrested
Police personnel of Titay Municipal Police Station (MPS) with 903rd Maneuver Company, Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office – Intel Branch, Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, and 42nd Infantry Battalion conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Rosas, Barangay Malagandis, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 9:45 AM of April 4, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Rito Yungot Franco. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder with the use of loose firearm docketed under Criminal Case No. i-5726, issued by Hon. Anthony D.T. Isaw, CPA, Presiding Judge RTC, Branch 24, 9th Judicial Region, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, issued on November 29, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to ₱ 200,000.00. He is now under the custody of Titay MPS for proper disposition.
One Dead in a Road Crash Incident in Dumalinao
A motor vehicle traffic accident transpired along National Highway of Purok Sikatuna, Barangay Tickwas, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur particularly at Tickwas Bridge at 8:40 PM of April 4, 2021. involving a black Honda XRM, with the plate No. JA-48101 driven by Glen Kliven Barcenal Berallo, 24 years old, Male, single, Ogis Lechon Manok Employee and a resident of Purok Cacao Barangay Tuburan Pagadian City with back rider identified as Rolando Pagion Berallo, of legal age, male, farmer, resident of Barangay Baloboan, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur and a black Toyota Avanza, bearing Plate No. N20-746 driven by Francis Ian Pata Dancel, 36 years old, male, married, resident of Callejon Drive, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the Honda XRM was traveling from Guipos going towards Dumalinao while the Toyota Avanza was in the opposite direction. The Honda XRM overtook a motor vehicle and accidentally bumped the front portion of the incoming Toyota Avanza. As a result, both vehicles incurred damages and resulted in the death of the back rider of the motorcycle and the driver sustained injuries on the different parts of his body and was rushed to Provincial Medical Center for medical treatment. Both vehicles are now in the custody of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Department of Agriculture Employee, Arrested in a Buy-Bust Operation in Tetuan
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted a buy-bust operation at Riverville, Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City at 9:30 AM of April 4, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jayson Rillera y Tubog aka “JAY”, 43 years old, male, single, Propagator at Department of Agriculture, college undergraduate. Recovered during the operation were four (4) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 8,840.00 weighing 1.3 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Hacking Incident
A hacking incident transpired at Barangay, Maligaya, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay at 10:15 PM of April 4, 2021. Victim was identified as Junnel Bation, 27 years old, male, single, farmer, resident of Purok 2, Maligaya, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay and suspect was identified as Lucio Trayan Siringan, 41 years old, male, married, farmer, resident of Purok 3, Barangay Maligaya, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the suspect and victim were having a drinking spree when a heated argument ensued between them. The suspect, who was under the influence of liquor went home to get a bolo and returned to the place of incident, he approached and suddenly hacked the victim. He sustained hacked wounds on his head and shoulder and was immediately brought to Pathfinder Hospital and later forwarded to Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Hospital for treatment. The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the detachment of delta coy, 44th Infantry Battalion – Philippine Army, located at Barangay Maligaya, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay and was subsequently turned-over to the responding elements of Siay Municipal Police Station.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Barangay, Bulanit, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at 8:55 PM of April 4, 2021. Victim was identified as Joel Dondiog Sumatra, 47 years old, male, married, construction worker, resident of Purok 7, Barangay. Nilo, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur and was temporarily residing at Dimasanca, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was shot by unidentified motorcycle riding in tandem suspects by the use of an undetermined caliber of firearm. Suspects fled heading east direction onboard on their getaway single motorcycle after the incident. Investigation revealed that prior to the incident, the victim, who was on board a single motorcycle with his brother Narciso Dondiog Sumatra as the driver, was travelling from Pagadian City going to their residence and upon reaching the vicinity of Barangay. Bulanit, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur, two unidentified male suspects onboard single motorcycle overtook them and without any hesitation, the back rider wearing stripe black/white t-shirt and short pants shot the victim once using a short firearm. As a result, victim sustained one gunshot wound on his shoulder and was rushed to Aisha Hospital but subsequently transferred to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for immediate medication. PNP personnel of Labangan Municipal Police Station is now conducting choke/checkpoints for the arrest of the fleeing suspects.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at the Barangay road of Purok Mul-aw, Barangay Mabuhay, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at 9:30 PM of April 4, 2021. Victim was identified as Jay Pagubo Maglasang, 21 years old, single, and a resident of Purok Lumbia, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur, and the suspect was identified as Domie Sunogan Paculba, 50 years old, male, married, CAFGU member assigned at Barangay Malim Detachment, and a resident of Purok Mol-aw, Barangay Mabuhay, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was on board a single motorcycle driven by Rodel Tamparong from Barangay Lumbia, going to Barangay Mabuhay. Upon reaching the place of incident, they were accosted by the suspect carrying a caliber .45 pistol who was believed to be under the influence of liquor and stopped their single motorcycle asking them in Visayan words to quote “Kinsa mo?” and thereafter shoot them twice hitting the victim’s left ankle. Victim was immediately rushed to Tabina Rural Health Unit for immediate medication but subsequently referred to Margosatubig Regional Hospital. Recovered from the suspect’s possession one (1) Para-Ordnance caliber 45 pistol with serial number 892635 with markings Limited P7.45 with one (1) magazine and five (5) live ammos. He is now temporarily detained at Tabina Municipal Police Station and prepared appropriate charges against the suspect.
Hacking Incident
A Hacking incident transpired at Purok Madanihon, Barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City at 9:05 AM of April 4, 2021. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was at his house when the suspect appeared and called the victim, and when the victim came out from his house, the suspect suddenly approached and without suddenly hacked the victim using a bolo hitting his head, left portion of his face and on his upper right shoulder. The suspect fled after the incident going towards Barangay Dao, Pagadian City while the victim was brought to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment. PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow up operation for the arrest of the fleeing suspect. Motive of the incident is believed to be personal grudge.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Purok Waling-waling, Barangay Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at 10:30 PM of April 4, 2021. Victim was identified as Ebrahim Latip Pangulima, 27 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Laya, Barangay Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur who sustained gunshot wounds on the back portion of his body and on his left arm after which victim brought to Pagadian City for appropriate medication. Investigation revealed that prior to the incident, victim while fishing together with his brother Jacaria Latip Pangulima and their friends when suddenly, unidentified suspect/s fired on them using unknown caliber of firearms at Purok Waling-waling, Barangay Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur. Kumalarang Municipal Police Station conducted follow up operation to identify and arrest the fleeing suspect/s. Motive of the incident still to be determined.
Stabbing Incident
 A stabbing incident transpired at Barangay Ma. Cristina, Dapitan City at 9:40 PM of April 4, 2021. Victim was identified as Renny Boy Sugalang Quinto, 30 years old, single and a resident of Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte and the suspect was identified as Ruben Galleposo Endrina, 48 years old, male, married and a resident of Barangay Ma. Cristina, Dapitan City. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 9:00PM of same date, the suspect had a drinking spree at the house of certain Gina Jamarulin when a heated argument ensued between him and some of the guests which resulted to a fight. The suspect went home and after a while went back to Gina Jamarulin’s house carrying a kitchen knife and suddenly attacked the guests violently, on the process, the suspect hit the right side of the victim. The suspect immediately fled from the scene while the victim was rushed to DJRMH for treatment. At about 10:20 PM of same date, the suspect was arrested by the police at Barangay Ma. Cristina, Dapitan City and is now under the custody of Dapitan City Police Station for filing of appropriate charges in court.
Men Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Kasanyangan
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted buy-bust operation at Phase 3, Barangay. Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City at 8:10 PM of April 4, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Abdurakman Mohammad y Caluang, 24 years old, male, single, elementary level, jobless and Boynaben Usman y Barry, 39 years old, male, married, jobless, both are residents of Barangay Sta Barbara, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were twelve (12) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 34,000.00 weighing 5 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. They are now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Man Arrested in a Buy-Bust Operation in Diplahan
Elements of Special Operations Unit 9 together with Diplahan Municipal Police Station, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9, 903rd Maneuver Company, Zamboanga Sibugay 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Zamboanga Sibugay Highway Patrol Group conducted buy-bust operation Purok 4, Barangay. Luop, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 6:55 PM of April 4, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Limuel Acain Roberto, 22 years old, male, single, jobless and a resident of Barangay. Coloran, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay. Confiscated during the operation were: three (3) pieces large heat sealed transparent sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated weight of twenty (20) grams and an estimated value of one hundred thirty six thousand (₱ 136,000.00) pesos; one (1) folded bundle of boodle money containing one (1) piece genuine one thousand (1,000.00) peso bill with serial number JX659137 at the top most of the bundle of photocopied one thousand pesos as supposed payment of ₱ 100,000.00 as buy-bust money; one (1) black motorcycle Yamaha Mio with temporary plate no.092010; and one (1) Samsung bar phone. They are now under the custody of Diplahan Municipal Police Station for temporary detention, confiscated items were also under the custody of the said station for proper disposition. A case for violation of R.A. 9165 is being prepared against the suspect.
