A total of 5,177 additional Covid-19 cases were logged by the Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 1,235,467
The DOH also recorded 6,230 recoveries and 46 deaths.
Of the total number of cases, 4.3 percent (53,203) are active, 94.0 percent (1,161,252) have recovered, and 1.70 percent (21,012) have died.
Eleven duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 8 are recoveries.
Moreover, 15 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
All laboratories were operational on May 30, 2021 but 10 labs were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.
Based on data in the last 14 days, the 10 non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 4.3 percent of samples tested and 6.6 percent of positive individuals.
