The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday logged 10,035 additional Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 1,765,675.

There were also 10,858 recoveries and 96 deaths.

“The relatively low number of cases today is due to lower laboratory output last Sunday,” the DOH said.

Of the total number of infections, 6.0 percent (105,787) are active, 92.3 percent (1,629,426) have recovered, and 1.73 percent (30,462) have died.

The DOH said that 206 duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 201 are recoveries.

Moreover, 39 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.

All laboratories were operational on August 15, 2021 but 6 labs were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.

Based on data in the last 14 days, the 6 non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 1.2 percent of samples tested and 1.4 percent of positive individuals.
