Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Melquiades Robles personally handed over to Mayor John Dalipe and City Treasurer Romelita Candido the ceremonial check representing the city’s P4.13 million share from the PCSO.

The ceremonial turnover was done during the PCSO official’s courtesy visit to the mayor, as he arrived in Zamboanga Monday to be keynote the Grand All-in-one Medical Mission held at the Labuan National High School.

The P4.13M represents the city’s share from PCSO lottery games in 2022 and part of January 2023. The city’s share will help augment the local government’s fund for medical assistance to indigents.

Under the law, the PCSO is mandated to set aside 30% of its net receipts from its lotto operations as a Lotto Charity Fund, of which 5% is granted in favor of the local government units where lotto tickets are sold.

Joining the PCSO general manager during the courtesy visit in City Hall were PCSO-Zamboanga branch head Pilarcita Florentes and staff.
