PBBM appoints former Sultan Kudarat Governor Suharto Mangudadatu as TESDA Director General

President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has appointed last Tuesday former Sultan Kudarat Governor Suharto Mangudadatu as the new Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Mangudadatu replaced former TESDA Director General Danilo P. Cruz. 

A physical therapist by profession, Mangudadatu is veteran public servant, who started his career in government as Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat from July 1998 to June 2004.

Following his term as mayor, he then run for Congress and became the  Representative of both the Lone District (2004-07) before becoming the province’s governor from 2007 to 2016.

From 2016 to 2019, Mangudadatu became the representative of the First District (2016-19) of Sultan Kudarat.

Prior to his new appointment in TESDA, he served as second term as governor of Sultan Kudarat from July 2019 to June 2022.

Mangudadatu was the latest high profile Cabinet appointee announced by Marcos after he appointed Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr. Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary and Teodoro J. Herbosa Department of Health (DOH) Secretary last Monday.
