THE Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum tackles what’s in store for the Philippine Basketball. Association (PBA) 48th season and a rising Filipino boxer on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial will answer questions about the league’s 2023-24 season that starts on October 15, as well as other activities leading to the season—including the rookie draft, pre-season fun run and media day—as well as Gilas Pilipinas’ participation in the FIBA World Cup and Huangzhou Asian Games.
Boxing legend and promoter Gerry Penalosa, meanwhile, graces the weekly session together undefeated bantamweight contender Carl Jammes Martin and his father/trainer Abel Martin to talk about the next steps in the career of the 24-year-old from Lagawe, Ifugao.
The session starts at 10 a.m. with San Miguel Corp., Philippine Sports Commission, Milo, Philippine Olympic Committee and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR)Corp. as major backers.
