Pagadian City – A motorist onboard a color red Toyota Vios bearing plate number PUQ 605 was arrested on Friday morning, October 1, 2021 in a hot pursuit operation at Barangay Curvada, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur for ignoring PNP Checkpoint jointly conducted by PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station and 1st Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company at National Highway, Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City.
The motorist was identified as Junie Dayon Manlapas, 43 years old, married and resident of Purok 1, Barangay Caridad, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur who admitted that he has no driver’s license and was found having bladed weapon in his possession.
On the same day, case of Violation of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code (Resistance and Disobedience to Persons in Authority or Agents of Person in Authority) and violation of Batasang Pambansa Blg. 6 (Illegal Possession of Bladed Weapon) was filed at Pagadian City Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceeding.
Previously, Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office Provincial Director PCOL Roel L Lami-ing directed PLTCOL Manuel Ryan P Lim, Officer In Charge of Pagadian City Police Station and PLTCOL Bonifacio B Arañas Jr., Force Commander of 1st Zamboanga de Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company to deploy additional personnel at PNP Checkpoint of Tiguma, Pagadian City to strengthen checkpoint operation as part of intensified anti-criminality measure.
