Pagadian City – Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station, Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st ZSPMFC) and Bureau of Customs 9; while manning the checkpoint at Community Police Assistance Center (COMPAC), December 15, 2021 at Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City.
Flagged down a Mitsubishi Adventure color silver with plate number KCC 234 driven by BAS DADI HADJILANI, 36 y/o, male, married, Filipino and a resident of Purok Muslim Village, Kawit, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. Inside the said vehicle was a suspicious cargo wherein upon verification there were Ten (10) boxes of FORT brand cigarettes, with an estimated market value of One Hundred Fifty Thousand (Php 150, 000.00) Pesos.
When the driver was asked of the pertinent documents pertaining to the transported cigarettes, the driver failed to present. Thus, he was arrested for violation of R.A 8424, handcuffed and was informed of his Basic Constitutional Rights and was brought to Pagadian City Police Station for documentation and inventory. Afterwards, arrested suspect together with the confiscated evidence and the vehicle where all turned over to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) for proper disposition of the case.
