Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – Confiscation of items in the Implementation of Search Warrant for violation of R.A. 9165 and R.A 10591 at around 6:25 AM of June 26, 2024 at Zone 5, Barangay Muricay, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.
Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Pagadian CPS, together with 1st ZSPMFC; and 902nd RMFB9, implemented the Search Warrant, issued by Executive Judge of RTC Branch 20, Pagadian City dated June 20, 2024 against a suspect, 62 years old, male, and a resident of Barangay Muricay, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur for violation of R.A 9165 and R.A 10591. The said operation resulted to the confiscation of the following items, to wit:
a) Twenty-five pieces medium-size heat sealed transparent sachets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu;
b) One unit of caliber .45 pistol, Colt;
c) One unit steel magazine of caliber .45 pistol; and
d) Two pieces live ammunition of caliber .45 pistol.
However, the subject person on the search warrant was able to evade upon sensing the presence of the PNP operating teams.
The confiscated drug items will be turned-over to Provincial Forensic Unit Camp Abelon, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur for examination while the confiscated non-drug items were brought to Pagadian CPS for proper disposition. Pagadian CPS is now preparing a case for violation of section 11 of R.A 9165 and R.A 10591 for regular filing against the suspect.
