Camp Sang-An, Zamboanga del Sur — The inspecting team from the Philippine Army headquarters concludes the Annual General Inspection (AGI) at the 1st Infantry Division (1ID) and its line units today through an exit briefing to the Division Commander.

On October 14, the inspecting team went around the offices of the Division staff for the validation of documents and other data. After which, they administered a survey and dialogue to the officers and enlisted personnel of the Division.

The team also visited the 101st Infantry Brigade in Basilan, 102nd Infantry Brigade in Ipil, 103rd Infantry Brigade in Marawi, 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade in Iligan City, and the Joint Task Force Zamboanga in Zamboanga City to check the state of discipline within the unit and determine the efficiency and effectiveness of its systems and processes.

During his talk, Brig. Gen. Roy M. Galido, the Army Inspector General, commends the 1ID for its laudable performance for 2021.

“The results were impressive,” said Galido. “I commend all of you for supporting your commander. The mission of the commander could not be performed well without your support.”

In addition, Galido reminded the Tabak troopers to exercise NCO empowerment, display a high state of discipline within themselves and at work, and keep themselves physically fit, as these can significantly impact the organization.

Meanwhile, the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, Philippine Army, through the Division Commander received a Certificate of Excellence from the Army Inspector General for obtaining the highest overall rating among the 35 Philippine Army Major Units in last year’s AGI.
