PAF Invites Negrenses To Join Fun Run For A Cause


The Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 6 (PAF-TOG6) is inviting the public to take part in its “Padayon Fun Run” on July 6.

Non-Commissioned Officer In-Charge (NCOIC) Jerry Gilongos for Tactical Advance Command Post (TACP)- Bacolod City said the fun run, which will start at 5:30 a.m., will be in two categories- 5-kilomerter and 3-kilometer run.

The 5-km run has a registration fee of P150 per participant and will start from the New Government Center (NGC) going to Rolling Hills.

Registration fee for the 3-km run is P100 per participant and will take the route from the NGC to Burgos St., he added.

Singlet is also available at P200, he said.

Proceeds of the Fun Run, with a project theme “Padayon PAF… touching hearts, building lives…together we can make a difference,” will benefit the Indigenous People of Sitio Sibatu, Brgy. Ginbalaon, Silay City.

Gilongos said they are aiming to have at least 150 people to register.

The PAF TACP6 had engaged in various community activities such as mangrove planting in Punta Taytay, Pahanocoy, Sumag and Tangub.

They also conducted feeding program to severely wasted pupils in Teodoro Morada Elementary School in Calumanggan, Bago City and in Rodolfo Medel Elementary School in Tangub, Bacolod City.

Recently, some 400 pupils availed of school supplies in the cities of Canlaon, Cadiz, Sagay, and Himamaylan. Each received P300 worth of various school materials.

The TACP6, which is headed by Lt. Col. Dennis Alcarde, is based in Iloilo City.
