Order Establishing The Guidelines And Protocol To Prevent The Entry Of African Swine Fever (ASF) Into The Province Of Surigao Del Norte

“NO PERMIT, NO ENTRY”

In line with the implementation of Executive Order No.21-020 issued by the Provincial Governor of Surigao del Norte otherwise known as an “Order Establishing the Guidelines and Protocol to Prevent the Entry of African Swine Fever (ASF) into the Province of Surigao del Norte”, Coast Guard Station (CGS) Surigao del Norte headed by the Station Commander CDR ELAINE R PANGILINAN PCG immediately conducted a thorough inspection of requirements and compliance particularly to vessels / watercrafts bound for Siargao Islands on the Strict Regulation on the Transport of Live Hogs, Pork and Pork By-Products in Seaports within the AOR last Thursday, 27 May 2021.

 

PCG in close coordination with Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) PMO-Surigao and Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) strictly implements the guidelines in accordance to the new EO of the Province of Surigao del Norte.

 

 

Meanwhile, CDR PANGILINAN PCG has already issued a Memorandum addressed to all Shipping Companies and Boat Operators plying within the AOR of Surigao del Norte to strictly adhere to the guidelines and protocols in order to ensure that no live hogs, pork or pork by-products will be transported particularly bound for Siargao Islands.

Furthermore, Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte highly encouraged the full cooperation of the public for an ASF-FREE Surigao del Norte.
