Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Libertad, Butuan City – A driver and supply personnel of the New People’s Army (NPA) voluntarily surrendered to the operatives of 1st Agusan del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (ADNPMFC), Provincial Intelligence Unit, Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (PIU ADNPPO), Nasipit Municipal Police Station and 23rd Infantry Battalion, yesterday (March19).
The surrenderee was identified as Ingag (true name withheld), a member of Militia ng Bayan of Sandatahang Yunit Propaganda Kingdom under Guerilla Front Committee 4A-NCRMC. He is a driver responsible in transporting the supplies and other goods of the NPA in the mountainous area of Buenavista and Nasipit town of Agusan del Norte. He brought a homemade shotgun without serial number and four live ammunition when he surrendered to the authorities.
According to Ingag, the terrorist group called their active and responsible member who brought supplies as “Riders”.
POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR., Regional Director of PNP Caraga said that Ingag is currently undergoing processing of requirements to avail the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-Clip).
“Communist terrorists in Caraga region are now crumbling and are nearing their total destruction, as more of their members understand the deceptions and manipulative schemes of their leaders who recruited them and used them to further their personal agenda,” he added.
As the police strengthen law enforcement operation and legal offensive, the army intensifies its tactical offensive and the citizens support information regarding the whereabouts of CPP-NPA. These ties bring positive results by successive surrender of NPA members.
“We, the PNP Caraga, under the leadership of C, PNP POLICE GENERAL DEBOLD M. SINAS, together with partner agencies are winning the campaign and the NPAs are vastly losing people’s support. We will sustain our gains until they are defeated the soonest possible time. Rest assured that NPAs who desire to surrender will be processed to avail of the E-CLIP,” RD CARAMAT JR said.
