The Surigao del Norte Inter-Agency Joint Checkpoint Operations was activated just this morning at 10:00AM with Vice Governor Geed Gokiangkee in Alegria, Surigao del Norte.
Manning the checkpoint are the officers and men of Alegria PNP under the supervision of Police Major Lutgardo A. Galido with the 2nd SDN Provincial Mobile Force Compamy, 30IB Philippine Army, Alegria Municipal Health Office personnel and Surigao del Norte Provincial Planning and Development Office headed by Annabel Atienza-Naig as Team Coordinator.
They conducted the joint checkpoint operation in the national highway of Brgy. Gamuton, Alegria, Surigao del Norte banning the entry of non Surigaonons, tourists and other individuals with no travel authority issued. The provincial government issued travel restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our province.
