Nocppo inks pact with BQMH for cop’s hospital admission

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital (BQMH) Monday on the hospitalization of provincial police officers.

The ceremonial signing was led by Colonel Romy Palgue, Nocppo Director, and the members of BQMH Board of Directors led by Captain Lucio Giovanni Giron, CEO/President; Dr. Evangeline Johnson, Chairperson; Mr. Omar Montejo, COO/ Administrator; and Ms. Neifertiti Gosiengfiao, Director for Business Development Center during the flag raising ceremony held at Nocppo headquarters here.

As stipulated in the MOU, active Nocppo members and their dependents as well as retirees can be admitted without requiring the initial deposit.

They are also entitled to a 10% discount if admitted and 15% discount for outpatient cases.

For retired members, especially the senior citizen, a 23% discount will be granted.

To avail of the benefits, they are only required to present their Philippine National Police (PNP) Identification card (ID) (active or retired) and Letter of Authority from Nocppo signed by the provincial director.

In her message, Dr. Johnson said that the activity is a good example of the Public-Private Partnership.

She also acknowledged the service of Nocppo personnel especially during this time of pandemic, alongside other frontliners such as the medical professionals.

“Kaligtasan and Kalusugan, these are our responsibilities as we join hands with a common goal as we face the biggest challenges of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic,” she said.

For his part, Palgue expressed his utmost gratitude for the expression of goodwill for the partnership offered by the institution to the provincial police force. (Glazyl Masculino via tdg, photo by tdg)
