On August 28, 2020 about 9:00 AM, PCOL. ADOLPH C. ALMENDRA, Provincial Director together with PLTCOL. GLENN C. SAMPAGA, Deputy PD for Operations, PMAJ. SHALOM FAYE S. CORNELIO, Police Community Affairs and Development Officer, PMAJ. ROLDAN C .ALMADEN, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Officer and PEMS Lilibeth L. Plaza, PESPO attended the Necrological Service and Burial of PSSg. Restie R. Dandan, PNP member of Sison MPS who was kidnapped and murdered by armed group believed to be members of CPP-NPA last July 31, 2020 in Brgy. San Isidro, Sison, Surigao del Norte. Then, PSSg. Dandan was found dead in Brgy. Matin-ao, Mainit, Surigao del Norte on August 18, 2020.
PCOL. ALMENDRA expressed sympathy to the family of PSSg. Dandan on his gruesome and untimely death. He assured that the perpetrators will face appropriate cases in court. He further urged the public to support the authorities by providing vital information against the CPP-NPA so that immediate justice will be served.
Collective financial assistance coming from all personnel of Surigao del Norte PPO was also handed by PCOL. ALMENDRA together with PCMS Maximino M. Cuadra Jr., Finance PNCO duly received by Mrs. Elenita Dandan, wife of PSSg. Dandan.
Around 11:00AM of same date, PSSg. Dandan was laid to rest in St. John Cemetery, San Pablo, Sison, Surigao del Norte.
