The screening committee of Miss Cagayan de Oro 2023 has commenced today (May 24) its rigorous deliberation to determine the official candidates who will compete for the esteemed title.
Present in the deliberation were Marie Elaine S. Unchuan, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 10; City Councilor Jay Roa Pascual; Sheila Lumbatan, City Mayor’s Chief of Staff; Ivy Guantero, the City Information Officer; Mark Christopher Yaranon, President of the Oro Fashion Designers Guild (OFDG); Gilda ‘Gigi’ Go, Governor of Rotary International District 3870, and Sherwin Estavilla, the Pageant Coordinator.
Throughout the deliberation, the committee members engaged in a thoughtful discussion, weighing the potentials of each candidate who could make a lasting impact as a spokesperson and ambassador for the city of Cagayan de Oro.
The committee aims to select a diverse group of candidates who do not only possess beauty and brain, but also demonstrate a strong dedication to effect positive change within society.
