Metro Manila mayors adjust unified curfew hours to 8pm-5am, as NCR Plus goes MECQ

CHAIRMAN Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced that the Metro Manila Council (MMC) have agreed to implement unified curfew hours from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting April 12 until the end of modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) on April 30.

Abalos also noted that the Metro Manila mayors, under the new rules approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), have powers adjust curfew hours in the National Capital Region.

The MMC, composed of the 17 LGUs of Metro Manila, is the policy- making body of the MMDA.

Meanwhile, Abalos said that authorized persons outside residence are still exempted from the curfew.

Abalos said that they just need to provide proof of identification or certificate of employment to authorities.
