LTO-Bacolod facility turnover set

Bacolod City – Transportation Assistant Secretary Jose Arturo Tugade is expected to attend today, the turnover and blessing of the new facilities of the Land Transportation in Purok Manayawsayaw in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

The new LTO Bacolod site and its building, costing P33.34 million, was donated by the provincial government of Negros Occidental.

Also expected to attend the turnover ceremony are Transportation Undersecretary Mark Steven Pastor, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, and Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, among others.

Since the transfer to its new location, many have already gone to them to process their papers, LTO-Bacolod office chief Renato Novero said.

He added that it was during the term of the late governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., that the provincial government negotiated for the transfer of the LTO office.
