To speed up the system of vaccination, the Local Government Unit of Claver together with the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), launched last Thursday, August 12, the DICT Vaccine Administration System (D-VAS).
Municipal Mayor Georgia Gokiangkee, Assistant Regional Director for Mindanao Cluster 2 Engr. Leo Ugto, and Provincial Officer Engr. Ricardo Bacolod, Jr. launched the system in Claver as pilot municipality in Surigao del Norte with efficient, fast and reliable records in vaccination.
“The DICT was mandated to develop a system which will assist in the National Vaccination Program for Covid-19 and we are very happy that LGU Claver accepted to adopt this system,” Engr. Bacolod expressed.
With the transition to online system, average processing time of vaccination per person has been cut down to 10 minutes from 20 minutes in the manual process. The data uploaded in the system will serve as an authentic document for the vaccination passport certificate.
