KAPATAGAN aims to make waves in its first foray into pro basketball in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup’s Mindanao Leg.

The Buffalo Braves backcourt will consist of Teytey Teodoro, Renz Palma, Ryan Costelo and Shaq Alanes.

Also tapped by the team were Letran’s Christian Fajarito and Alex Mandreza, who needs to secure special guest licenses from the Games and Amusements Board.

Joining Fajarito in the frontline are Jay Ar Ng Sang, Jamil Gabawan and homegrown big Paul Siarot.

Completing the squad are Eduardo Doroteo, King Astrero, Genmar Bragais and Marlon Monte, as well as Lanao Del Norte’s own Joel Sollano, Carlos Tabaquero, Jeames Incio and Jeoffrey Acain.

Despite having only a few weeks to prepare for the league, Buffalo Braves head coach Cris Bautista has embraced the challenge from team owner Harrison Young.

“What’s good with the team now is that we won’t be solely relying on a pure point guard,” Bautista said. “My real point guard only Costelo. All others are perimeter men like Teytey and Palma, they can bring the ball down and set plays.

Joining Bautista are Al Vergara, Dabert Candado, Nino Matig-A and Timoteo Gatchalian.
“This is going to be a running team,” Bautista said.

The league, meanwhile, has yet to announce the venue and opening date of the Mindanao Leg that will feature nine teams.
