It’s still not the much-coveted Edit Button but Bookmark Folders is a cool feature

If you’re a Twitter user, the first thing on your wish list is probably for the app to have an edit feature. Well, now that’s a reality…sort of. At least, for users of Twitter Blue.

Already rolled out in Australia and Canada for iOS users, Twitter Blue is a subscription (meaning that it’s paid) that allows users certain liberties. The monthly fee is $3.49 CAD (around P137.54) or $4.49 AUD (around P165.87).

“We’ve heard from the people that use Twitter a lot—and we mean a lot—that we don’t always build power features that meet their needs,” said Twitter in a statement.

“We took this feedback to heart, and are developing and iterating upon a solution that will give the people who use Twitter the most what they are looking for: access to exclusive features and perks that will take their experience on Twitter to the next level.”

So what do you get exactly when you subscribe to Twitter Blue?

Reader Mode, according to Twitter, provides a more beautiful reading experience by “getting rid of the noise.”

“We are making it easier for you to keep up with long threads on Twitter by turning them into easy-to-read text so you can read all the latest content seamlessly,” said Twitter.

Basically, Reader Mode makes threads read more like an article so that profile photos, usernames, timestamps and live/retweet counts are removed from the threaded tweets.

Bookmark Folders is another perk for Twitter Blue users. Bookmark Folders allows you to organize the tweets you’ve saved by letting you manage content. This is so you can access them easily.

Now for that edit feature. What Twitter Blue has is not exactly an edit feature but something called Undo Tweet. With this feature, you can set a customizable timer of up to 30 seconds to click “Undo” before the tweet, reply or thread you’ve sent posts to your timeline. When this feature is activated, a countdown appears so you know the time left until your 30-second Tweet Undo period expires and your tweet appears on Twitter. Shorten the expiration window to 5, 10 or 20 seconds under the Twitter Blue feature settings menu, or you can easily skip it when you select “Send now.”

Subscriber perks include customizable app icons for their device’s home screen and fun color themes for their Twitter. They will also have access to dedicated subscription customer support.

We looked at tweets related to Twitter Blue and most of them are happy about the Bookmark Folder feature. We’re still waiting for that Edit button and hope it will come soon even on Twitter Blue.
