Iriga City hosted the much-anticipated Season 2 of Iron Chef Juana Cares on March 15, 2024, at the New Government Center. Led by City Mayor Wilfredo Rex Oliva and CHRM Officer Ms. Ma. Eloisa Jaim, LGU female employees-turned-chefs displayed their culinary prowess by crafting dishes centered around π£π’ππ’πΈ (shrimp paste).
Representatives from the LGU’s Economic, Social, Institutional, Infrastructure, and Environmental sectors competed fiercely, aiming to impress both judges and spectators. The dynamic duo from the Social sector, Ms. Rowena Arrabis and Ms. Jimnah Llagas from City Health Office, secured first place with their πππππππππ πππππππ πππ ππππππ πππ πππππ πππππππ ππππ πππππ πππππ. The Environmental sector’s Ms. Nancy Ibarreta (CDRRMO) and Ms. June Rose O. Salimbao (GSO) claimed second with their πππππ πππππππ πππ πππππ πππππππππ πππππ, while the Infrastructure Sector’s Engr. Gracia Alteza (CEO) and Ms. Liza Isabelle Baay (Architectβs) took third with their πππππ ππ ππππππππ πππ πππππππππ πππππ.
The Institutional sector’s Ms. Antonette Clavillas (LCR) and Ms. Jennifer C. Baldoza (Accounting) earned the “MOST INNOVATIVE” award, while the Economic sector’s Ms. Nanette L. Awa (Agri) and Ms. Maria Cecilia V. Tienes (OMS) were recognized for their “EXCEPTIONAL COLLABORATIVE EFFORT.”
Iron Chef Juana Cares 2024, held in honor of National Womenβs Month, showcased the creativity, teamwork, and culinary excellence of empowered women in society.
