    (Legazpi City, March 6, 2025) Aabot sa mahigit tatlong libong housing units ang maaring maitayo oras na maisapinal na ang plano para sa socialized, at economic housing program ng Pamahalaang Lokal ng Albay.

    Ito ang kinumpirma ni Albay Provincial Human Settlement Office (APHSO) Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Engr. Karen B. Olayres, JD, matapos na maipresenta ang proposed plan para sa PGA In-City Resettlement Housing Project.

    Ayon sa inisyal na plano ng APHSO, nasa kabuuang 3,718 na units ang maaaring ma-ialok mula sa tatlong proposed In-City Resettlement Sites na kinabibilangan ng Provincial Government of Albay (PGA)-owned lots sa Balintawak-Maria Clara Streets, Cabugao-Pinaric Old Albay District, at ang lote sa Sagpon, Daraga Bagtang Road.

    Ani Olayres, oras na maisapinal na ang naturang plano ay maaari pang madagdagan ang naturang bilang.

    “Since this is only the initial planning, we are expecting na more than that number pa siya,” saad ng opisyal.

    Dagdag pa nito, plano nilang pagtayuan hindi lamang ng mga housing units ang mahigit dalawang ektaryang lupain na pag-aari ng lokal na pamahalaan, kundi maging ng mga business establishments na maaaring paupahan sa mga mag-a-avail ng naturang units.

    “Apart from the housing units we are also planning to have commercial spaces in every building so as to encourage also business owners to do economic enterprise in the area kasi when we generate more income expect improved quality of life,” dagdag pa ni Olayres.

    Binigyang-diin rin ng opisyal na sakaling masimulan na ang naturang proyekto ay prayoridad nila ngayon na mabenepisyuhan ang mga dati nang nakatira sa nabanggit na mga lugar, informal settlers, gayundin ang mga underpriviledged, at low-income earners.

    “Once this project starts, our priority are those who are already residents of the identified lots, as well as the informal settlers, and low-income earners because like I said, they are not the problem, they are part of the solution for us to transition to urban development.”
