Working in close coordination with partner agencies, the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Camarines Sur successfully arrested three high-value individuals (HVIs) and confiscated more than P3.7 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur, on July 15, 2026.
The anti-illegal drug operation was carried out at around 1:35 PM by joint operatives of PDEA Camarines Sur and the Pili MPS under the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office. Arrested were the suspects identified by their aliases “Rich,” 38; “Frank,” 33; and “Lito,” 55, all residents of Camarines Sur.
Seized during the operation were three knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing 550 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of PhP3,740,000.00.
The arrested suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and were brought to the PDEA Regional Office V in Legazpi City for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The marking, inventory, and photographing of the seized evidence were conducted at the place of operation in the presence of the arrested suspects and the required insulating witnesses, in accordance with the provisions of the law.
