The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla, Jr. together with Assistant Regional Director for Management Services (ARD-MS) Ronnel B. Astor and ARD for Technical Services (ARD-TS) Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop visited the different DENR field offices in the province of Masbate last January 10, 2024.

Highlighted during the visit were the milestones and accomplishments of DENR Masbate led by OIC, PENR Officer Benito B. Salazar, including the approval of twelve (12) Forest Land Grazing Management Agreements, strengthened collaboration with the different partner stakeholders through MOA signings, issuance of deed of donation to CENRO Mobo for office expansion and ample storage facilities, among other commendable achievements.

Additionally, RED Milla commends DENR Masbate for its first-ever year-end assessment and team building activity, which united all three offices to celebrate achievements and acknowledge contributions of each office.

“As we welcome the year 2024, let us renew our strengths and soar like an eagle aiming for sustainable excellence,” said RED Milla. “Let us not be weary as we endeavor to accomplish our targets this year,” he added.

Furthermore, during the visit, RED Milla took the opportunity to introduce the recently appointed ARD for Management Services Ronnel B. Astor and San Jacinto OIC, CENR Officer Lemuel A. Soriano.

Looking forward, the DENR Bicol regional executives are scheduled to visit its provincial and community ENR offices in the first quarter to set the directions and priorities for calendar year 2024.
