Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City – PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, RD, PRO5, has directed the intensification of security measures for the ongoing Kasanggayahan Festival 2024 in Sorsogon.
In line with this, he has ensured the maximum deployment of PNP personnel and the mobilization of resources, particularly the enhancement of move capabilities, to guarantee swift and effective responses to any situations that may arise throughout the duration of the festival.
“Our primary objective is to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the festivities with complete peace of mind. We are committed to creating a secure environment for all participants, including residents and visitors alike. I have already directed the Provincial Director of Sorsogon, and I am confident that we will successfully achieve a safe and memorable festival for all”, he stated.
As part of his commitment to the safety and success of the celebration, PBGEN DIZON personally attended the Grand Opening of the Kasanggayahan Festival 2024, held on October 14, 2024, at the Sorsogon Capitol Grounds in Sorsogon City. His presence highlighted the close collaboration between the police and the local government in promoting a peaceful and orderly celebration for the people of Sorsogon.
The Kasanggayahan Festival, widely recognized as the largest and most anticipated festival in the province, celebrates the rich culture and heritage of Sorsogon.
In ensuring the safety of all participants and spectators, PBGEN DIZON emphasized that PRO5 especially the Sorsogon PPO headed by PCOL ALEX C DANIEL, RD remains fully dedicated to implement heightened security protocols. This includes deploying personnel in strategic locations, conducting regular patrols, and coordinating closely with local government units and other agencies to ensure that the festival is celebrated in an atmosphere of peace and security.
The police’s intensified efforts are expected to further enhance public safety during the festival, allowing everyone to enjoy the festivities with confidence.
