The most wanted criminal in Albay province was arrested on June 23, 2025 at Trabajo Market in Sampaloc, Manila, for five counts of qualified rape.
The operation was carried out by personnel from the Rapu-Rapu Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Sampaloc Police Station of the Manila Police District.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Ton”, 42 years old, is a resident of Purok 1A, Barangay Galicia, Rapu-Rapu, Albay. He had been eluding arrest for a prolonged period and was considered the Rank 1 Provincial Most Wanted Person of Albay PPO.
Authorities confirmed that the warrants of arrest against the accused were issued for five separate cases of Qualified Rape, with no bail recommended for each charge due to the gravity of the offense.
The successful arrest followed intensive surveillance and coordination between local and Metro Manila-based police units. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and is now under the supervision of Rapu-Rapu MPS for booking, documentation, and eventual transfer to the appropriate judicial authorities.
