The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5), headed by PBGEN Erosito N Miranda, Regional Director, continues to extend assistance to initiatives aimed at alleviating the situation of communities affected by the ongoing unrest of Mayon Volcano.

On May 5, 2026, the KASUROG D.E.A.R. (Disaster Emergency Assistance Response) Team from the Regional Headquarters actively supported the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region 5 in the distribution of hygiene kits and protective goggles to affected residents of Camalig and Ligao City.

As part of the logistical support, PRO 5 trucks were also utilized to transport and ferry the relief items, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of essential supplies to evacuation and affected areas.

The initiative underscores PRO 5’s continuing commitment to disaster response and humanitarian assistance, working in close coordination with partner agencies to address the immediate needs of displaced and affected families.

This effort reflects the PNP’s commitment to delivering “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” in line with the PNP Focused Agenda, which emphasizes responsive and people-centered policing, especially during emergencies and disasters.

PRO 5 reiterated its vow to sustain support for affected communities, highlighting that assistance will continue as long as the situation requires coordinated response and relief operations.

Through these actions, PRO 5 reinforces its role not only in peace and order but also in humanitarian assistance and disaster response, standing with communities during times of crisis
