PIA Bicol Regional Head Ramil Doods Marianito and PIA Albay ICM Sally Altea received tokens of recognition as Partners in Service Awardees during the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation Regional Office V Pasasalamat, Recognition, and Awarding Ceremony for Stakeholders, held today in Legazpi City.
PIA Sorsogon and PIA Camarines Sur were also recognized for their dedicated efforts in raising awareness and promoting the National Health Insurance Program among their constituents.
In 2025, PhilHealth introduced its YAKAP or Yaman ng Kalusugan Program and implemented several enhancements to its benefit packages.
This includes a 95% increase in benefit rates, covering nearly 9,000 cases.
The single period of confinement rule was lifted, and the 45-day benefit limit has been removed. PhilHealth also expanded its benefit packages for hemodialysis, severe dengue, cataract extraction, ischemic heart disease, and Z Benefits for kidney transplant and peritoneal dialysis.
In these endeavors, the PIA will continue to provide development communication to grassroots communities with clarity, accuracy, and relevance, ultimately fostering a more empowered and mobilized Filipino citizenry.
