PCOL Tyrone R Dotimas officially assumed office today, July 6, 2026, as the Officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office during a turnover of command ceremony held at the PRO 5 Maringal Lounge, Camp BGen Simeon A Ola in Legazpi City.
The ceremony was presided over by PBGEN Erosito N Miranda, Regional Director, Police Regional Office 5 as the Presiding Officer.
In his assumption of office remarks, PCOL Dotimas expressed his commitment to further strengthen the organization and sustain the programs of PRO 5. He pledged to carry out directives with full dedication, emphasizing his goal of building a “mission-ready, highly capable, and values-driven police organization” that fosters safe, resilient, and empowered communities.
During the ceremony, PCOL Virgilio O Olalia, Jr. was recognized for his leadership and dedicated service during his two-year tenure as Provincial Director before he was formally succeeded by PCOL Dotimas.
Meanwhile, PBGEN Miranda extended his appreciation to the outgoing Provincial Director, PCOL Olalia, acknowledging his leadership and accomplishments over the past two years. He also expressed confidence in PCOL Dotimas, citing his integrity, strategic vision, and consistent dedication to public service—qualities expected to further advance the provincial command.
In closing, PBGEN Miranda called on all personnel to move forward as one unified force, stressing the continued role of law enforcement as guardians of peace and order in the Bicol Region, and highlighting the importance of every officer’s contribution to community safety and service.
