A fire incident yesterday affected the historic Gabaldon Building of Iriga Central School, damaging five classrooms in Brgy. San Nicolas, Iriga City. The blaze, believed to have started before 5:00 PM, was reported to the Bureau of Fire Protection at 5:30 PM and was declared fire out by 7:10 PM. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Responding BFP units came from Iriga City, Baao, Nabua, Bato, Buhi, and Pili.
During the incident, Mayor Rex C. Oliva personally visited and inspected the site to ensure everyone’s safety and coordinate immediate response efforts on the ground.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the BFP units from Iriga City and our neighboring municipalities of Baao, Nabua, Bato, Buhi, and Pili for their swift response and invaluable assistance. Their teamwork and courage helped prevent further damage and safeguarded lives.
