Mayor Rex C. Oliva, together with Vice Mayor Edsel Dimaiwat and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and department heads of the City Government of Iriga join the the solemn installation of Rev. Fr. Wilmer Joseph Sumayao Tria as the new Parish Priest of Saint Anthony of Padua Parish and Shrine on October 11, 2025.
The sacred rite of installation was presided over by His Grace, Most Rev. Rex Andrew C. Alarcon, D.D., Archbishop of Caceres, who formally entrusted Fr. Tria with the pastoral care of the faithful of the parish.
The installation, held at the historic Saint Anthony of Padua Parish and Shrine, was followed by a Testimonial Banquet at the Iriga City Sports Center, Sta. Cruz Sur, Iriga City.
Mayor Rex, together with the Arriba Iriga Administration, reaffirmed their steadfast support for the Church and its mission of faith and service. In turn, the parish community expressed its deep gratitude and solidarity with the City Government, emphasizing the strong partnership between the Church and the local administration in advancing the spiritual and social welfare of Irigueños.
The event stood as a heartfelt celebration of faith, unity, and shared commitment—a reminder that when the Church and community walk hand in hand, grace truly abounds.
