Mayor Rex immediately convened an emergency meeting with the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee (BDRRMC) to conduct a thorough situational assessment and evaluate the condition of families affected by Super Typhoon Uwan.
During the meeting, the Mayor directed barangay officials to submit updated reports on the evacuees and those temporarily staying in safe houses. These reports will serve as the basis for determining the next course of action in terms of relief assistance and recovery efforts.
Mayor Rex emphasized the importance of accurate and timely data from each barangay to ensure that all affected residents are properly accounted for and that government assistance is distributed efficiently and fairly.
Present during the meeting were Vice Mayor Edsel S. Dimaiwat, City Administrator Atty. Maharlika Ramon C. Oaferina II, City Councilors Jeff Tino, Nikki Lagrimas, Jor-el Caayao, Melnan R. Murallo-Asanza, Dandreb Abonite and Bishop Ros Orolfo, Ms. Jaz Botor, Dr. Ronald Pereña, Ms. Maridel Verrosa and other Department Heads.
