In a moment of recognition and gratitude, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – Regional Office V (BJMPRO-V) awarded a Plaque of Appreciation to Mayor Rex C. Oliva and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Iriga City during the celebration of the bureau’s 34th Anniversary on August 6, 2025, held at The Oriental Legazpi, Sto. Niño Village, Taysan Hill.
Themed “Matatag na Serbisyo, Patnubay sa Tunay na Pagbabago,” the anniversary event highlighted BJMP’s ongoing mission to ensure humane safekeeping and rehabilitation of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) while strengthening community partnerships.
The plaque was conferred in profound recognition of Iriga City LGU’s invaluable support to the programs and advocacies of BJMP, emphasizing that such collaboration has significantly contributed to the realization of the Bureau’s mandates and thrusts.
Mayor Rex, known for his unwavering support of social welfare and justice programs, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the development and reintegration of PDLs, underscoring the importance of strong institutional partnerships in promoting genuine reform and public safety.
